Caring for you and your family’s vision & eye health is our passion at Andrew Mizzi Optometrist. As an independent optometrist, Andrew takes time with each and every patient to ensure that they receive the highest quality eye care together with a vision solution which is individually tailored to their needs.
Your Eye Test
We offer comprehensive eye tests for adults and children. Our eye tests take around 30-45 minutes to thoroughly assess your visual acuity (how well you can see), your vision requirements and your eye health. Throughout your eye test, Andrew will answer your questions and take the time to explain his findings and recommendations for your vision. Our state-of-the-art diagnostic technology includes digital retinal photography and Automated Visual Field Test which Andrew will recommend for you if clinically warranted.
Primary Eye Care
As a therapeutically endorsed optometrist, Andrew is your first port of call for any eye health concerns – no need to see your GP. Andrew is qualified to assess, diagnose and treat a range of acute eye conditions including bacterial and viral infections and foreign bodies in the eye. He is also able to prescribe ocular medications and drops to treat chronic eye diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Andrew can provide you with a referral to an ophthalmologist for further treatment if required.
Children's Vision
Our littlest patients receive special attention at Andrew Mizzi Optometrist. Your child’s vision is precious and in our age of digital technology, young eyes need to be protected and monitored closely for any visual changes. We recommend an eye test prior to starting school, with regular eye tests throughout the school years. With a family of 4 kids ranging from primary to early adulthood, Andrew knows how to make an eye test a relaxed and fun experience for children – and he even speaks ‘teenager’!
Our Fees and Health Fund Claims
All eligible consultation fees are Bulk Billed to Medicare. On the spot claiming through HICAPS is available for all Private Health Fund members. EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX payments are accepted without surcharge.
